Anju M Kasturiraj is a London-based artist and researcher of South Indian heritage working across text, moving image, live art, ceramics, and sound. Her practice traces the micro-choreographies of South Indian rituals, dreams, and intimate encounters as sites where collective memory is formed and transmitted. Her work consists of live soundscapes and endurance performances, writing that examines relationships as thresholds into ritual continuity, and moving image projects that mediate ritual embodiment through machine vision. She explores how memory is carried through bodies, gestures, and technologies of perception. Clay functions as a material process for thinking through her research, the ongoing ceramic Body Castings project is a meditation on documentation, legibility, and the materiality of embodiment.
